We Need God, God Needs Us, Trinity Lutheran Church, Brattleboro, VT, December 12, 2021 John the Baptist offered hope to the people when he said God would come and change everything. And they waited…. Jesus – living in what I would call realism – saw that this “hope” needed help. His word, in essence, was that God was not going to “change” everything right now. It was the people who needed to act. We have a collaborative relationship with God. It is up to the people of God to bring about change. We need God, God needs us The Jesus perspective is that God works through us. What will God do through you this day? Pastor Jon Heydenreich presides, joined by Ron Solberg as assistant minister, Micaela Carlton Newton as reader and Laura Josephs on the piano. No matter who you are in your walk of faith, or where you are in that journey, you are invited to the communion table at Trinity Lutheran Church.
