Paying the Baggage Fees, July 4, 2021, Trinity Lutheran Church, Brattleboro, VT It's our new pastor's (official) first day! Welcome Pastor Jon Heydenreich! "Paying the Baggage Fees: Jesus and Delta, American and Southwest" is Pastor Jon's central message today. Jesus councils us to travel lightly, Mark 6:1-13. Thinking we must always be in control creates baggage. Living in the past creates baggage. Carrying around bags full of guilt and remorse burdens us with baggage. Jesus says travel light. Unburden. Let it go. Be who God has created you to be this day. Trinity is an ELCA congregation (more or less traditional, mainline), and a Reconciling in Christ congregation. No matter who you are, or where you are in your walk of faith, you are invited to the communion table. Pastor Jon Heydenreich leads worship, Ron Solberg assistants today, Micaela Carlton Newton reads today, and Laura Josephs our talented musician is on piano.
