Find God in the "Non-Pretty", Trinity Lutheran Church, Brattleboro, VT, December 4, 2022 Matthew 3:4 - John’s clothes were made of camel’s hair…his food was locusts and wild honey…”  We tend to like pristine, neat, orderly, sanitized and pretty. And we want these things in our homes, cars, workplace and the people we associate with.   John the Baptist ate locusts. He dealt with bees. He was from the wilderness. Nothing pretty about him.  But it was this non-pretty guy who prepared the way for Jesus. Often we find God in the “non-pretty.” Look there. Pastor Jon Heydenreich presides assisted by Kris Grotz-Kuch, joined by Gene Kuch as reader, and Laura Josephs on piano. No matter who you are in your walk of faith, or where you are in that journey, you are invited to the communion table at Trinity Lutheran Church. Trinity Lutheran Church is an ELCA congregation, more or less traditional and relaxed, and a Reconciling in Christ congregation where all are welcome.
