- Matthew 17:1 Jesus took with him Peter, James and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.
- They broke out of the regularity of daily life and went up on a mountain. That took dedicated time and effort. Their lives were transformed.
- Just about everyone wants change and transformation. Go to the local bookstore – one of the biggest sections deals with self-help.
- Want transformation? Find solitude. Get out of the ordinary routine. Put out some serious effort...think of the walkers, swimmers and runners. We all have to find our own way – we are our own spiritual manager. These are ways in which we open ourselves to the power of God.
