This video is a worship service at First Congregational church in West Brattleboro in Vermont. The pastor is Rev Audrey Walker. The title of the sermon is "Get Out of the Seed Box" and is based on 1 Corinthians 15:35-38, 42-50 in which Paul talks about the resurrection of the body. He uses the seed as a metaphor for resurrection. Death leads to new life. A seed has to die to itself so that it can be reborn as a plant. So it is with us. We die to get eternal life, but we also must die to old destructive behaviors so that we may rise to new life-giving behaviors. And that process can occur again and again and again throughout our lives. Death to the old, rebirth to the new.
