Description:

This video is a Worship Service for the fourth Sunday of Advent at First Congregational Church of West Brattleboro, in Vermont. The pastor is Rev Audrey Walker. The fourth candle on the Advent Wreath, the candle of LOVE, is lit. The Christmas carols are sung by Steve Rice. They are "Lo How a Rose E'er Blooming", "Once in Royal David’s City”, and “In the Bleak Midwinter.” Organ Prelude is “What Is This Lovely Fragrance” Arr. by P Manz. Organ Postlude is "Vom Himmel Hoch" arr. by J S Bach. Both are played by organist, Bill McKim. Special Music for the morning, on piano, is “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear,” by R Willis arr. C Lindberg. This is also played by Bill McKim. The scripture text for the morning is Luke 1:26-38, the Annunciation. The Angel Gabriel appears to Mary and tells her she will bear God's Son. The title of the sermon is “A Time for Miracles,” which focuses on the morning's theme of Love, and how the true miracle of Christmas is the outpouring of love, compassion, kindness, gift giving, and helping those in need, at this time of year. The goal, of course, is to keep the Spirit of Christmas going throughout the year.
