4th Annual Blanche Moyse Memorial Concert: J.S. Bach, St. John Passion
Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Persons Auditorium in Marlboro, VT
Once again, in Vermont’s leaf-color season, past members of the New England Bach Festival Orchestra will join the Blanche Moyse Chorale under the direction of Mary Westbrook-Geha to honor the memory of their mentor, Blanche Moyse, with a presentation of music of her beloved J. S. Bach. This year’s concert program will be his renowned choral masterpiece, the St. John Passion. Baritone Sanford Sylvan sings the role of Jesus, and Stephen Paul Spears is the Evangelist. The Chorale welcomes back many well-loved orchestral colleagues, including Carol Wincenc, flute, Stephen Taylor and Mark Hill, oboes, Mitsuru Tsubota, Concert Mistress, Daire FitzGerald, cello, and John T. Kulowitsch, bass.
