New on BCTV for the week of January 28, 2013: The Source, Coma Club, Shantytown, and BUHS Boys Varsity Basketball

January 28, 2013

Mahalo Art Center presents-" The Source": Produced by Luz Elena Morey."The Source" is a inspirational portrayal of the Gathering in Gratitude process, where a multi-generational group of people creates a dramatic presentation based on their nature-based expressive arts journey.  This transformational theater process is inspired by an ancient Native American practice of giving thanks for all of the natural world.

Coma Club: Producer: Jamie Mohr. What CC is about is the exploration of public-access broadcast as an art medium. It is meant to be something that is discovered by happy accident with a conscious anti-capitalistic strategy for distribution.  A message in a bottle from the sub-conscious, but I imagine this particular bottle as a cathode ray or rectangle of plasma. Essentially it is television made by people who don't watch television.

Shantytowns of Brattleboro: *From the BCTV Archive* - Prolific producer Greg McAllister continues his series of whimsical community profiles with a trip out onto the frozen retreat meadows to talk with inhabitants of Shantytown.

BUHS Boys Varsity Basketball vs. Windsor: Watch as the BUHS Boys Varsity basketball squad hadily defeats Windsor High School, with play by play from Bill Holiday and Tim Johnson.  This game was played on January 24, 2013.
