Description:

During the past two performing seasons, the Theatre Adventure Thursday Troupe has successfully brought to the stage Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The actors’ enthusiasm for Shakespeare is unbridled! The outrageous storylines with complicated relationships and plot twists of Shakespeare’s stories remain alive and well on the Theatre Adventure stage with Twelfth Night. Gender fluidity, love triangles, sibling loyalty, and dreams of breaking class barriers are the “food for fodder” in this much beloved comedy. Outstanding performances by all of the actors in stunning costumes will create a theatrical production that highlights the strengths and talents of the dedicated Theatre Adventure actors. People of all abilities are welcome in the audiences of all Theatre Adventure performances. ASL interpreting is provided for all performances and the venue is wheel chair accessible. In order to honor audience members with special sensory needs, there will be a Sensory-Friendly performance on Wednesday April 11 at 10:30 am, where expressions and needs are welcomed as an intrinsic part of being an audience member. Before the show begins, the Director will talk about the lights, sounds, costumes, and characters of the play in order to support the comfort level of audience members. There will be a break room across from the performance hall for students who might need quiet space during part of the performance. A social story to help prepare audience members for the theater experience is available upon request anytime before the performance.
