The talk features Dirk Vansintjan -- manager of Ecopower, a rural electric cooperative in Belgium -- and Andreas Wieg, a director at the German Cooperative Federation.
Vansintjan also is a co-founder of a Belgian federation of renewable-energy cooperatives. Wieg has a master’s degree and doctorate in economics and manages a "new cooperatives working group."
The two are visiting Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts as part of a tour organized by the Heinrich Boll Foundation. Scheduled stops include presentations in the New Hampshire and Vermont state legislatures.
