Worries 11/13/22

Be Present Today, Trinity Lutheran Church, Brattleboro, VT, November 13, 2022   Luke 21:14 Jesus taught; “But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.  For I will give you words and wisdom....”   Anxiety is about worrying about the future.  But what can we do?  We all want to control the future.  As Mark Twain put it "I've had lots of worries in my life, most of which never happened."  Excessive worry about the future robs us of our today.     Obviously, planning in life is needed. But the rejoinder from Jesus is “do not to go overboard, trust that God will be there for you.”  The take away is...be present today.   Pastor Jon Heydenreich presides assisted by Marsha Heydenreich, joined by Jeff Herman-May as assistant, Beverly Wolf as reader, and Laura Josephs on piano.   No matter who you are in your walk of faith, or where you are in that journey, you are invited to the communion table at Trinity Lutheran Church.
