God Knows 2/20/22

Secret But Seen, Trinity Lutheran Church, Brattleboro, VT, February 20, 2021 Matthew 6:3 Jesus taught: “When you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.” To care out of a pure concern for the other person, not because we want attention or to be thanked. This is what God calls us to do. Very few of us are this self-less. We hope to be thanked, to be acknowledged, to be liked… But Jesus teaches, in effect, to seek to love as God loves. In purity. God knows you. When you do good for others you know what you have done. God is your reward. Do good in the name of God. God knows. That is the Light.
