Ash Wednesday Service 2/17/21

This video is a worship service for Ash Wednesday, Feb 17, 2021. It includes the Sacrament of Communion and the Imposition of Ashes. (The service includes a demonstration of how to make ashes for the service at home.) There is a short meditation/message in the service entitled "Holy Dirt." All are welcome to participate in the Sacrament of Communion as well as the Imposition of Ashes. You will need to supply a piece of bread or cracker, and a small glass of grape juice (or other juice) or red wine.This is a somber and meditative service. It focusses on acknowledging our brokeness/sinfulness, but also reminds us of God's great love, mercy, and forgiveness. At its heart, the service is introspective and full of Good News.
