Description:

This video is a worship service at First Congregational Church of West Brattleboro in Vermont. Pentecost 19A. This is the first in-sanctuary worship service since mid-March. The title of the sermon is "Constructive Anger." It is based on the scripture passage, Matthew 18:21-35, which focuses on how Jesus tells us to settle anger and disagreements among Christians. The sermon emphasizes that in God's economy, anger is a reality, but it doesn't need to be destructive. Anger can be a positive force when it is in response to injustice, and when it is channeled in positive ways. Jesus tells us that when we are angry at another person we shouldn't blow up or shut it down. The only way to deal with anger is to talk about it and forgive and reconcile with the other person.
