Green Mountain Conservancy - Deer Run Nature Preserve-Phase II Information Meeting

The Green Mountain Conservancy is working to conserve an additional 626 acre contiguous parcel in Newfane and Brookline (Phase II) and add it to the 287 acre Wilson parcel in Dummerston (Phase I). In this this meeting presenters describe the property which includes tall hardwoods, including shagbark hickory, 185 acres of deer yards, idyllic savannas, an active landslide, 2.5 miles of frontage on the West River, stunning views, fascinating geological features, and an identified wildlife corridor. The meeting includes a presentation Roger Haydock who talks about the geology that formed this land eons ago and its fascinating geological features. The Green Mountain Conservancy is a non-profit whose mission is to acquire and conserve wilderness lands in southern Vermont. More information can be found at greenmountainconservancy.org
