A History of Vermont Agriculture 4/5/19

Roger, Vermont’s former Secretary of Agriculture, will cover the history of Vermont agriculture from after the French and Indian Wars until today. He will review the key events that have taken place over time and why agriculture has changed, and what were the reasons for the changes that have happened on farms and in our food systems. He will discuss where agriculture is today, the renaissance of the past that is taking place on the land and products from the land as well.
