'Grief is an Umbrella I Walk Under' is the first episode in the "Grieving Out Loud" series that aims to help normalize the grieving process. This first video introduces Ami Ji Schmid (of 'Waking Up With Ami') as a person who, among other things, grieves the loss of her daughter (from heroin overdose) and son-in-law (from suicide). "Grieving is ongoing: a thread woven into the tapestry of one's life. I am constantly touching the fringe hanging from the umbrella of grief that I walk under. Though there's more to me than grieving, it is a part of me, and, in this story, I want to introduce myself to you through grief's lens." ~Ami
