Description:

Vermont Theatre Company is pleased to present its fourth annual production of A Christmas Carol, based on the novella by Charles Dickens, and adapted and directed by Jessica Gelter with James Gelter.

For three years local audiences have been thrilled by this production of one of the modern world’s most beloved stories. The story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a lonely miser whose life is forever changed when visited by spirits of Christmases past, present, and yet to come, still speaks to us with the same import it did when first published a 174 years ago

This year’s production is directed by Jessica Gelter, with Katy Peterson as Musical Director and Eli Coughlin-Gilbraith as Stage Manager, and is produced by Robert Kramsky. Bruce Holloway will play Scrooge, leading a stellar cast that includes James Gelter as the Narrator, with actors Jon Mack, Jonathan Reid, Sophie Bady-Kaye, Shannon Ward, Meredith Lewis, Gavin Holloway, and Zoe Peterson. The musical ensemble includes Nell Curley, Krista Coughlin-Galbraith, Marit Bjerkdal, Jonathan Kinnersley, Tony Grobe, and Ryan Buck. The show is generously sponsered by GS Precision.

With the spirit of giving that the story implores in mind, VTC will be accepting food donations throughout the show-run to help local individuals in need. Bring a non-perishable food item to any performance to receive $1 off your ticket. All food donations will be delivered to the Groundworks Drop-In Center in Brattleboro, VT. There will also be an opportunity to sign up to work with others to cook a meal for the drop in center sometime over the winter months.Performance recorded by Reggie Martell on December 8, 2017 at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center in downtown Brattleboro, VT.
