Overruled by the simple majority vote of a town-wide voting refferendum that rejected the town's original FY15 budget, members of Brattleboro's Representative Town Meeting governing body reprise their role to once again approve the budget set forth by the selectboard--albeit a budget returned to them half a million dollars lighter after a month of intense debate from the board led to the postponing of payments on the nine million dollar police fire upgrade project bond.It's a 2014 Town Meeting sequel that includes its own share of controversy, with Rep Kurt Dames attempting to further reduce the tax rate with not one but two suprise ammendments, and a reprise of the Roll Call vote.
