Dartmouth professor Nancy Jay Crumbine will read and discuss Rumi, one of the greatest and most widely read of spiritual poets, in a talk at Brooks Memorial Library in the Main Room on March 5 at 7:00 pm.Her talk, “Rumi, A Soul on Fire,” is part of the Vermont Humanities Council’s First Wednesdays lecture series and is free and open to the public. Rumi was a 13th-century Persian poet and Sufi mystic. His poems have been widely translated and have worldwide influence. Crumbine is a poet and Associate Visiting Professor of English at Dartmouth College.
