Beginning with the Ringing of the Bell, Wardsboro's 4th of July Parade marches down Main St. and back again, past the Town Hall Reviewing Stand where Ribbons are awarded. Invocation by Pastor Pete Carlson who also gives excellent Parade Commentary. The National Anthem is sung by Vivian Francy. The Color Guard of The West River Valley American Legion Post 16 leads the parade. Warren Patrick, 105 years old, is Grand Marshal. The Gilfeather Turnip is wheelbarrowed. Newfane's West River Railroad Station Restoration Project is featured. 50 top-quality vendors line Main St.at the Street Fair. Kids games and face painting are outside the Town Office, Homemade pies, while they last, are for sale at the Town Hall.
