In this talk—recorded in Copenhagen July 6, 2022 at the 15th World Conference for Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy and Counseling where participants and presenters were asked to respond to psychologist Carl Rogers’ famous question “How Can I Be of Help?”—Geoff Kane encourages everyone to carry Rogers’ non-judgmental approach beyond clinical settings and apply it as best they can to themselves and others all the time. Among many benefits, this would reduce the staggering human and economic costs of harmful substance use and addiction.
