- 1237 reads
THURSDAY 08/13/20: Elnu Abenaki and the Retreat Farm unveiled a new sign on Route 30 across from the Farm - a site within a significant Indigenous landscape - which identifies and celebrates Wantastegok, reclaiming Native space in the Brattleboro area. Abenaki families and leaders and other local residents gathered at an outdoor ceremony. Producer Donna Blackney is working with the Brattleboro Words Trail team whose audio tours of the rich history of words in our area, Abenaki and otherwise, will be launched in October 2020.
