Description:
Performed at the Latchis Theatre on March 12th, 2020
Peter and the Wolf, a 'symphonic tale for children', was created in 1936 by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev. The story, presented by a narrator, is a delightfully engaging story about a young boy living near the forest. One day, Peter encounters a number of animals as well as a band of game hunters.
This performance, made possible by the Music in the Schools program of the Brattleboro Music Center, features narrator James Gelter as well as an orchestra of fine players from the region, all conducted by Zon Eastes.
