Jay Parini speaks on his books in this talk entitled 'The Human Face of God' during this October 4, 2014 presentation of the Brattleboro Literary Festival hosted at Brooks Memorial Library.

Jay Parini is a poet, novelist, biographer, and critic and is the Axinn Professor of English at Middlebury College, Vermont. He is the author of five books of poetry, eight novels, three biographies (including Robert Frost, John Steinbeck and William Faulkner) plus other books of non-fiction including Jesus: The Human Face of God. In 2009, his novel The Last Station was turned into an Academy Award-nominated film.  Parini has won various fellowships and awards, including a Guggenheim (1993-1994) and, for his Frost biography, the Chicago Tribune-Heartland Award in 2000.
