Preventing Teen Rx Misuse-Your Role as a Teen Influencer will build awareness and equip teen influencers (parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches, community and school-based healthcare providers and others) with credible information about teen prescription drug abuse and effective strategies to take action to help prevent it.
We all have a role in reducing youths' access to prescription medications and increasing youth's perception of harm. The presentations provide an informal space of sharing and peer support. The knowledge and skills participants will develop is intended to increase their level of confidence and comfort during conversations with teens and peers.
