- 1214 reads
The Community Opioid Response (COR) is holding a conversation about Drug Abuse and Law Enforcement on October 11, 5-6:30 at Brooks Memorial Library in Brattleboro. Michael Fitzgerald, Chief of the Brattleboro Police Department will talk about local law enforcement and the complex challenges of illegal drugs. There will be time for discussion and questions.
The Community Opioid Response works to reduce opiate misuse and addiction and its stigma, and to promote adequate support for people in recovery through public education about prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery. Partners include the Vermont Department of Health, Brattleboro Area Prevention Coalition, Turning Point of Windham County, Nar-Anon Family Groups, Brattleboro Retreat, and community members.
The Community Conversation will be a safe environment to ask questions. BCTV will be live-streaming the conversation.
This is the latest in a series of quarterly conversations. The first talk focused on addiction and stigmas. You can view it at bit.ly/CORTalk-Stigma
