Description:

B. Lynch discusses her exhibit, PULL BACK THE CURTAIN, and the creation of the time-bending universe of the Reds and the Greys. Lynch’s art looks at the corrosive effect of income disparity on our society and democracy. She uses puppetry, drawing, painting, linoleum block prints, and digital animation to create precisely rendered, meticulously detailed characters and environments.

Lynch was the featured Centerfold Gallery artist in the July/August 2021 issue of Artscope magazine. She is a recipient of a Fellow award from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, an Artist’s Resource Trust Award from the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, and a Project Grant from the Ludwig Vogelstein Foundation. Her work has been shown in solo exhibitions at museums and universities across the country. Lynch lives and works in Jamaica Plain, a neighborhood of Boston, in a handmade house and studio with a garden of fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

B. LYNCH: PULL BACK THE CURTAIN is on view at Brattleboro Museum & Art Center October 23, 2021 - February 13, 2022.
