Tesla PowerWall: Green Mtn Power Pilot Program 10/26/16

Helen Bruno, Green Mountain Power representative, presented the Tesla PowerWall Pilot program.  Green Mountian Power has been running a pilot program installing Tesla batteries, charge contollers and inverters in 20 home in Vermont (to date).  Designed as a system for storing electricity.  When the grid power is down, the Testa system is wired to power essential electric appliances and equipment in a home, for up to 12 hours, depending of usage.

The system also allows GMP to tape into these residential storage systems to come peak demand times. 

Goerge Harvey, writer for Green Energy Times and hosts "Energy Week" on BCTV, spoke of his system and ideas for comminity storage using a different battery manufactuer.

Lastly, Stephen Dodson described The Windham Regional Commissions grants and incentives for green energy renovation and installation.
