Want to assist BCTV's staff with some responsibility that you can put on your resume? We have a few ways you can fit into our weekly production schedule if you're ready to work independently:
- 5:45 Live: Join BCTV's "5:45 Live" weekly news crew and help make it happen. If you want to learn video skills and can work independently, we may be able to find a desk, a chair, and even an computer with your name on it! Skills you can bring or develop on the job: journalism, editing, multi-cam directing, graphics, and even on-screen co-anchor.
- Project Editor: If you want to gain experience on real projects, such as learning how to trim programs, adjust audio and add basic titles, we can give you some fun and interesting work that needs doing. Many of our paid staff started this way.
BCTV hires part-time field producers on an as-needed basis. All of our field producers started as volunteers. Here's how to get started by volunteering with BCTV.
